I have over 12 pairs of snow boots since I work at Alaska.
These women's boots have really been design to deliver good
performance on the ice. I bought these shoes in the summer
and I waited quite long time to try them. Now since I have
tried them, I can easily say that they are one of the best
boots which can handle the icy conditions. I am not saying
that they are the best boots for going into the snow but
they are very close. If you use the ice cleats with them,
they will perform much better. When I wore them on the rough
ice, I did slip a bit so that is why I would recommend that
if you are going to wear them on the rough ice, then use the
ice cleats. The exterior of these boots is very durable. I
have these boots in the brown color which, as per the brand,
is called the Hawk. Since I have used these boots in snow
and also in a little bit deep snow, so that's why I can
confirm that they are waterproof. There is a slight problem
with the sizing. These boots run a while size large so I had
to send them back and get another pair. The width is
accurate. The arch support is normal but not much
supportive. They could have used a better arch support.
Other than that the interior is very comfortable and it does
maintain warm environment inside. I have the waterproof icy
boots which have much more better arch support than these
boots. Overall these boots are very good. These boots could
have been superior if they had god arch support and better
traction on the snow. But still, they do beat many icy boots
which have great looks but no performance at all. I would
give these boots 4½ out of 5 stars. |
